First Visit
Prior to your first appointment you will be provided forms to complete in the privacy of your home.
Most new patients require a comprehensive exam; ninety minutes are scheduled for this initial appointment.
The exam will usually consist of:
- Review of your Medical and Dental History
- Digital Photo Record
- Necessary Radiographs (x-rays)
- Study Casts (Mold of your teeth in plaster)
- Oral Cancer Exam
- Evaluation of Existing Tooth and Gum Conditions
- Muscle and Joint Exam
- Occlusal Exam (How your teeth meet and rub around)
A review of the above information will be the substance of the second, thirty-minute appointment which is included in the overall fee. At that time, both you and Dr. Smith can decide upon a course of treatment that will return you to optimum health.
