First Visit

Most new patients require a comprehensive exam. Prior to your initial appointment you will be provided forms to complete in the privacy of your home.

The exam will usually consist of:

• Review of your Medical and Dental History
• Digital Photo record
• Necessary Radiographs (x-rays)
• Study Casts (mould of you teeth in plaster)
• Oral cancer exam
• Evaluation of existing tooth and gum conditions
• Muscle and Joint exam
• Occlusal exam (how your teeth meet and rub around)

A review of the information collected will be a separate appointment and is included in the overall fee charged for that initial appointment. At that time, you and Dr. Smith will decide on a course of treatment to return you to health. Ninety minutes are scheduled for the initial appointment, and 30 for the second. We will do our utmost to respect your time and we ask for the same courtesy.
